Changing Beneficiaries

The ORP provides pre-retirement survivor benefits for both the retirement account and group life insurance. Beneficiaries for these accounts may be changed at any time.

To change the beneficiaries for the ORP retirement account, contact the Provider directly. Some Providers accept these changes online.

To change the beneficiaries for the ORP group life insurance plan, complete the Insurance Enrollment and Beneficiary Change Form and return to the college's Benefits Administrator.

 

Please note: As of March 10, 2008, the office of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education
was renamed the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. The name change will be integrated into
prior existing website content gradually over the next few months.
