Drawing Benefits from the ORP

This section explains when and how you may draw benefits from the Optional Retirement Program. It is important that you discuss your many benefit choices with your Provider. They can help ensure that your benefit payments meet your personal financial needs.

Please note: As of March 10, 2008, the office of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education
was renamed the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. The name change will be integrated into
prior existing website content gradually over the next few months.
