Accountability

The Board of Higher Education's Fiscal office prepares annual a financial statement summary as a demonstration of the system’s commitment to accountability for higher education in Massachusetts.

The summary details by category the sources of funds available to the institutions (e.g., student charges, grants, General Appropriation Act, etc.) and the uses of these funds by functional area (e.g., instruction, institutional support, physical plan operations, etc.)

Please note: As of March 10, 2008, the office of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education
was renamed the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. The name change will be integrated into
